The highlights: FC Luzern came through nicely in Switzerland (+£3.92), and Fluminense did the business in Brazil (+£3.25). Two clean moneyline wins, no drama, the algorithm working exactly as intended. Beautiful.

Then the wheels came off.

Heidenheim couldn't beat Mainz at home. Milwaukee Brewers bottled it against the Twins. And — the one that truly stings — Hoffenheim couldn't nick it at Mönchengladbach, costing me a fiver. Three losses. Three! In a row! That's not variance, that's a personal vendetta by the football gods.
